Sotrama takes delivery of first Tadano AC 5.250L-2 in France

Long-standing Tadano partner SOTRAMA has taken delivery of the first Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all terrain crane sold in France, further strengthening its Tadano fleet and reinforcing a partnership built on trust and reliability.

Versatility that powers every project

With more than seven decades of experience serving companies in the construction, shipbuilding, and industrial sectors in the French region of Brittany, among others, SOTRAMA specializes in lifting, heavy handling, industrial relocation, demolition, public works, equipment rental, and transportation. Its decision to add the new AC 5.250L-2 underscores the company’s commitment to providing customers with the most advanced and versatile lifting solutions available.

The new AC 5.250L-2 is designed to excel on a wide range of projects, from major industrial installations to compact urban construction sites, thanks to its 79-meter main boom and a maximum system length of 109 meters. Its exceptional reach makes it perfect for jobs such as placing HVAC units over tall structures or erecting tower cranes, while its ability to stay under the 12-tonne axle load limit means it can travel quickly and easily between sites without requiring special permits.

A trusted partner for any jobsite

For SOTRAMA, the decision to continue investing in Tadano cranes is a natural progression. “We already operate several Tadano all terrain cranes, which demonstrate excellent performance and reliability”, says Peggy Guenault, General Manager of SOTRAMA. “We have just received our new crane, equipped with the necessary extensions to extend the boom to 91 meters, and it is already in operation. We are not wasting any time. Such a reach on a 250-ton crane is simply remarkable”.

Thanks to its self-erecting jib extensions and advanced IC-1 Plus control system, the AC 5.250L-2 offers excellent lifting performance in all conditions. Meanwhile, optional features such as the Surround View camera system make jobsite setup faster and safer than ever.

Built for the road, ready for the future

Beyond its performance on site, the AC 5.250L-2 offers impressive road travel versatility. Configurations complying with both 12-tonne and 16.5-tonne axle load limits allow SOTRAMA to move the crane between sites quickly and cost-effectively. Its Mercedes-Benz EU Stage V engine, Eco Mode, and fuel-saving start/stop system further enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

A partnership built on trust

Olivier Roy, Sales Manager for Tadano, expressed his gratitude to SOTRAMA for their continued confidence in Tadano: “We’re proud to deliver the first AC 5.250L-2 in France to SOTRAMA, a valued partner who truly understands the importance of performance, reliability, and innovation. We thank them for their continued trust and wish them great success with their new crane.”

With the addition of the AC 5.250L-2, SOTRAMA is not just strengthening its lifting capabilities, it’s also reinforcing its mission to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative solutions for its customers.
