Technology Description
CC 38.650-1 Boom Booster: Boom Booster Boosts Stiffness, Enhances Lifting Capacity
The optional Boom Booster kit launches the cost-effective CC 38.650-1 to the next level, enabling it to handle lifts normally requiring 750-tonne class cranes. The Boom Booster increases the main boom’s stiffness, boosting the crane’s lifting capacity up to 65.3%. This affords an impressive maximum hook height of 174.5m and lift loads up to 92.5t, making it ideal for erecting large, tall wind turbines. Kits range in length from 24-102m and mount directly on the crane. Twelve-meter length sections ease transport while the Fall Protection System enhances safety.
The optional Boom Booster kit launches the cost-effective Tadano CC 38.650-1 to the next level, enabling it to handle lifts normally requiring 750-tonne class cranes. The Boom Booster increases the main boom’s stiffness, boosting the crane’s lifting capacity up to 65.3%. This affords an impressive maximum hook height of 572.5 ft and lift loads up to 102 USt, making it ideal for erecting large, tall wind turbines. Kits range in length from 78.7-334.6 ft and mount directly on the crane. 39.3 ft length sections ease transport while the Tadano fall protection system enhances safety.
CC 68.1250-1 Boom Booster: More lifting capacity, more reach, more cost-effectiveness
The Boom Booster increases the lifting capacity of what is already a powerful crane, the CC 68.1250-1, by up to 30 percent – including at the luffing jib! The kit not only increases the maximum hook height from 180 to 194 m but also the maximum load weight at this hook height from 98 to more than 100 tonnes. This means that the CC 68.1250-1 can erect wind turbines with hub heights of up to 185 meters. One highlight is a design optimized for transportation that makes it possible to split components to reduce their system width of 5.40 meters to a roadworthy 3.50 meters. The Boom Booster is also available both as an accessory for new cranes and as a retrofit for the CC 68.1250-1. Moreover, its future-proof design means that the kit will also be compatible with future crane models in this class.
The Boom Booster increases the lifting capacity of what is already a powerful crane, the CC 68.1250-1, by up to 30 percent – including at the luffing jib! The kit not only increases the maximum hook height from 590 to 640 ft but also the maximum load weight at this hook height from 108 to more than 110 USt. This means that the CC 68.1250-1 can erect wind turbines with hub heights of up to 607 ft. One highlight is a design optimized for transportation that makes it possible to split components to reduce their system width of 18 ft to a roadworthy 11.5 ft. The Boom Booster is also available both as an accessory for new cranes and as a retrofit for the CC 68.1250-1. Moreover, its future-proof design means that the kit will also be compatible with future crane models in this class.
CC 88.1600-1 Boom Booster: Tackles Steep and Long Boom Configuration Projects
The Boom Booster kit for the CC 88.1600-1 crawler crane boosts performance to new heights, especially when working with steep and long boom configurations. This kit increases the CC 88.1600-1’s lifting capacity by up to 90%, enabling it to outlift any crane within the 1,000-2,000t capacity range, as well as 3,000t capacity range cranes under certain conditions. The CC 88.1600-1 Boom Booster kit is a must-have for heavy lifting applications with long-boom configurations like petrochemical projects, wind turbine erection, and power plant installation.
