The team at Dornseiff Autokrane und Schwertransporte is thoroughly familiar with all the advantages offered by Tadano AC 3.045-1 City cranes: “We’ve had three units of that model in our fleet for quite a while now, and now we’ve traded in our old AC 40 City for another new AC 3.045-1 City,” reports Anja Reger, the site manager at Dornseiff’s Olpe location, who picked up the new crane together with crane operator Marco Wöltering in Lauf. The transaction was enormously practical for the company, as Tadano accepted the used AC 40 City as a trade-in so that it can overhaul and sell it again. As for the new AC 3.045-1, it was handed over by Tadano Sales Manager Helge Prüfer.

Identical configurations

In order to ensure that Dornseiff will be able to use all three cranes for the exact same work and maximize both availability and flexibility as a result, the new arrival features the same tried-and-true configuration as the other AC 3.045-1 City units in the fleet operated by the crane experts – that includes a three-sheave 1.2-meter runner, a 15-tonne boom head traverse with shackle and hook, a 25-tonne hook traverse, and a 32-3/16/D hook block.

Accordingly, the AC 3.045-1 City is perfectly prepared for all the jobs that the team at Dornseiff has planned for it: “We’ll be using the AC 3.045-1 primarily inside buildings to tackle projects such as installing overhead cranes and moving machinery. That’s something that it’s unbeatably good at – and its compact design certainly plays an important part in this. After all, it’s the kind of work that all terrain cranes can rarely handle due to their size,” says Anja Reger, highlighting a key advantage of the AC 3.045-1 City, which makes it ideal for tight work areas, low ceiling heights, and difficult site access. “Many conventional mobile cranes reach their limits here,” explains Reger. “However, the Tadano City crane masters work in this demanding environment with flying colors!”
