Tadano announces leadership changes in Europe

Tadano Ltd. announces several senior management updates to the local leadership team of Tadano Europe. These apply to Tadano’s German operations – Tadano Demag GmbH in Zweibrücken and Tadano Faun GmbH in Lauf – and their subsidiaries to ensure stability and operational growth. Recently acquired Manitex operations in Italy are not included in the leadership adjustments and will continue under its existing management structure.

Effective October 1, Noriaki Yashiro will assume the role of president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Tadano Demag GmbH and Tadano Faun GmbH, taking on full responsibility for Tadano’s European operations.

With the company completing its production transfer in Germany, Tadano, with the announced management reinforcements, will shift focus toward growth and strengthening operations. To support this, the following additions will be made to the German leadership team on the same date:

  • Dean Barley – in addition to his current responsibilities as president and CEO of Tadano America Corp., Manitex International and Tadano Mantis Corp., Mr. Barley will oversee sales, customer support, marketing and quality control in Europe.
  • Hiroyuki Goda – in addition to his current role as chief technology officer (CTO) of Tadano Ltd., Mr. Goda will head research and development for mobile crane engineering in Europe, ensuring innovation remains anchored in the German sites.
  • Stefan Matthaei – will oversee production, logistics and purchasing with direct responsibility for Tadano operations in Zweibrücken and Lauf.

Speaking on these management expansions, Tadano Ltd. President and CEO, Toshiaki Ujiie commented: “These additions bring the right experience to drive growth in Europe. We are making significant investments in both our locations in Germany to support our customers. Customer needs are at the heart of these leadership additions, and their goal is to strengthen confidence of our European customers in Tadano.”

Previously, Tadano announced multimillion-euro investments in its German facilities in Zweibrücken and Lauf to strengthen competitiveness and secure long-term growth. At the Zweibrücken facility, the company has expanded the site through land acquisition, built a new repair workshop, upgraded production and improved logistics flow. In Lauf, Tadano is constructing a new European spare parts center with planned operation in mid-2026, expanding production and storage capacity, and adding boom assembly lines.

Together, these investments underscore Tadano’s commitment to its German operations and in setting global standards for crane technology.
