Tadano UK Ltd manages the sales of new and used lifting equipment, as well as services and parts sales, within the UK and Irish markets.
Job Purpose
The Parts Advisor will provide exceptional customer support and care in the area of parts sales and warehouse management. This role ensures customer satisfaction through efficient handling of inquiries, orders, and logistics, contributing to the overall success of the Customer Support department.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all parts inquiries, delivering knowledgeable and efficient service via email and telephone.
- Identify and successfully manage customer expectations and requirements.
- Promote the company across all aspects of its business.
- Prospect for new business opportunities.
- Contribute to achieving departmental and company profitability targets.
- Process and track spare parts sales and orders using appropriate tools and technical documentation.
- Utilize electronic parts manuals and handle warranty orders.
- Process and address complaints effectively.
- Check customer accounts and credit limits.
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Assist the warehouse team with parts returns and order processing as needed.
- Manage the return of incorrect or unnecessary parts to vendors, ensuring timely credits.
- Arrange daily shipments of customer orders with carriers.
- Prepare customs documentation and communicate effectively with couriers and freight forwarders.
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, and maintaining databases.
- Support warehouse operations, including packing and shipping when required.
Skills / Preferred Previous Experience
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized vocational education (e.g., industrial sales, shipping, wholesale, or retail-clerk).
- Knowledge of basic import/export procedures.
- Operational knowledge of aftermarket distribution and customer processes.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work well in a diverse environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in SAP, CRM, and Office applications.
- Customer-focused with a strong “can-do” attitude and flexible approach.
- Effective communication skills with vendors and customers.
